About michaela tempers
Michaela Tempers makes music the way you write a letter by hand — slowly, with intention, and only when you have something worth saying. Her debut EP Good Woman was recorded over five winter days in a timber-framed barn in the Wairarapa, capturing the raw atmosphere of live performance: breath, wood, and steel.
Raised on the windswept coasts of the South Island, she grew up listening to the kind of music that doesn't ask anything of you except your attention. Her songs do the same: they explore love, loss, and the quiet resilience of ordinary life, drawing listeners into worlds both personal and universal.
Since emerging on the New Zealand folk circuit, Michaela has shared stages with Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Boy & Bear, and Holly Arrowsmith — captivating audiences with her authentic performances and a voice that sounds like it was carved from the same landscape as her songs.
